At last I've replaced my old Olympus C-830L 1.3MP (bought somewhere around ~2000) with a HP Photosmart 735 3.1MP.
I'd have preferred a Canon Powershot A75, but it would have been too expensive (not to mention that it is only partly compatible with the software available for GNU/Linux).
